The Challenge
The Challenge
Designing a co-living environment within an industrial building required balancing collective interaction with individual needs. The space needed to function as both a social hub and a personal retreat, while maintaining clarity in circulation and spatial organization.
Creating a continuous system that encourages communication without overwhelming users became the main challenge.

The Goal
The Goal
The concept of “Kanal” (Channel) was developed as a spatial system that guides interaction and movement throughout the interior.
The “interaction channel” acts as the main architectural element, shaping the layout and defining different zones within the space. It not only organizes circulation but also integrates lighting and spatial hierarchy.
The space was divided into three main zones:
Zone 1 & Zone 3 → collective and social areas
Zone 2 → more individual and focused use
Each zone was designed to respond to different user needs while remaining connected through the central system.
